It’s a pivotal year for Nintendo. The company is working to recover from its first year of negative profits since Mario was born, the sales of the Wii are slipping into the abyss, and the 3DS is still more expensive to make then it is to sell. They’re banking on a strong 3DS software line-up and a great Wii U launch to pull them back into the black. E3 comes at possibly the most important time in the company’s history, and they should have every gun blazing. Well, that would be the smart thing to do, anyways.

We’ve put together a guide to help you figure out what the company will be showcasing, what the predictions are, and what we feel is the most plausible possibility for these things actually happening.

Keep reading here.

What are your thoughts?

I will not be happy if a 3ds lite is announced.

Well you can't blame nintendo for it, americans are die hard console players. As a system, the 3ds is a great handheld but just doesn't appeal to many of these console only players (which seem to be widespread in the US).

I wonder why handhelds have shown such a decrease lately, I remember gameboy being quite popular growing up.

Well back when gameboy came out, gaming on the go was quite a new idea, with everyone having fancy phones and what not they already can game, call, text, and do many other things on the go. That is my best guess for the decrease of handheld gaming.

I think nothing special will be announced and it will be the usual franchies announcing new games like zelda and mario...but thats about it. I'm expecting nintendo to fail this year really...they aint the company they used to be
